Haha, I love the photos of you in your poncho! Every time we travel, my husband, rather than packing a proper rain coat (of which he owns several – I know because I bought them!!) brings an “emergency poncho”. You know, the plastic ones they sell at Disney and all the tourists wear? He broke it out when we were in Milan and I was MORTIFIED. But it kept him dry and un-whiny, so I guess that’s a win 🙂

Oh I know exactly the one’s you’re talking about Erin, and it’s a sign of pure desperation that I put on the poncho, which I want to stress is owned by my husband, not myself : )

Staying dry is priority #1 when traveling, so I understand! A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.

That’s funny! I am here in Nepal taking a break with my wife! Most of the time during the day I am wearing 4 shirts! Not only the layered look, but the layered feel.

So I take it that, notwithstanding your all-time favourite San Martin church, you wouldn’t recommend hiking the Camino in January? (Insert sardonic smiley.(

Well, I wouldn’t recommend being a dufus like me and not buying proper waterproof shoes and clothes…..

Hahaha I am envious of your poncho! I live in Ho Chi Minh, and ponchos are a genuine fashion item here. My own is purple, fabulous, and called Amelia.
